I’m Keyla, the travel advisor who took the scenic route to get here — literally and figuratively.
For about five years, the idea of becoming a travel advisor sat quietly in the back of my mind. I loved travel, I loved planning travel, and I loved the logistics that make a trip feel effortless. But I also had a good job, a full life, and zero desire to “start over.” So the dream stayed tucked away… waiting for the right moment.
That moment arrived in a way I never expected.
During a 15‑week medical leave, life forced me to slow down — something I’m famously terrible at. I’m not built for sitting still, doing nothing, or watching the days drift by. I need purpose, creativity, and something that keeps my brain happily buzzing. And in that quiet space, I realized I needed something meaningful to carry with me into retirement, and I finally had the time to explore the dream I’d been putting off.
So I started learning new things.
I baked sourdough (because apparently that’s what you do when life hands you a pause).
I reflected on what I wanted my future to look like.
And I finally said, “Okay, let’s do this.”
That’s how Travel by Levy was born — not from a business plan, but from a moment of courage, curiosity, and the realization that I’m happiest when I’m helping people explore the world. Planning travel isn’t just something I enjoy… it’s something I’m meant to do. I love the research, the puzzle‑solving, and turning someone’s dream into a beautifully organized adventure.
When I’m not crafting itineraries, you’ll probably find me trying to learn golf. I’m a true beginner — the kind who celebrates when the ball goes straight and considers it a win when I remember all the steps at once. Golf is my humbling hobby, my fresh‑air classroom, and my reminder that learning something new can be equal parts hilarious and rewarding.
And yes, sourdough is still part of the story. Baking keeps me grounded, creative, and patient — the same qualities I bring to every trip I plan.
